the yellow butterfly

The yellow butterfly came to me during a time when I thought I had lost something. It reminded me that what I was missing never really left and that beautiful things sometimes can only come after periods of rest and removal.

And so began this venture.

My dad once told me that the meanings of words are not found in dictionaries but in people. They can mean different things when expressed in different ways, or at different times. They often mean more coming from someone you love than coming from a stranger. And writing them down deepens their meaning, making them more permanent in our memories.

I've found joy in uniquely expressing the words that mean the most to me. Many of them significant only because of the person that spoke them.

I hope you find them as beautiful as I do.

Xoxo.
